About Us
At It's Beauty Salon, acrylic nails are approached as a form of precision artistry. Our nail masters at both Abu Dhabi locations — Al Zahiyah and Al Raha Boulevard — craft bespoke sets with smooth finishes, sculpted shapes, and detail-oriented work that holds up in daily life and turns heads on any occasion.
The acrylics we use are professional-grade, and the techniques behind them aren't new — they're practiced, refined, and consistent. A classic almond set, a more architectural shape, something in between: your acrylic nail extensions in Abu Dhabi leave the salon exactly as they should. Strong, finished, yours.
Nails For Any Occasion
Some clients want added length. Others prefer a natural nail aesthetic with lasting color. Others still are looking for a low-maintenance gel finish. At It's Beauty Salon in Abu Dhabi, our nail technicians work with Luxio, MAL, and Kinetics — professional-grade products chosen for their performance and wear. The full range of services is available across both our Abu Dhabi locations: classic gel manicures, gel nail extensions, and acrylic nails. For clients seeking polish-free options, we also offer Japanese manicures with a breathable shine — a halal-friendly choice that suits those who prefer a clean, natural look. Precise work and lasting results, regardless of what you come in for.
Gel Nails VS Acrylic Nails
Gel and acrylic both give you long-wearing, polished nails. The difference is in how they feel and what they can do. Gel sits lighter on the nail, has more flex, and works well for clients who want a natural look with some staying power. Acrylic is denser, holds bolder shapes, and tends to be the go-to for anyone dealing with brittle nails or wanting serious length. Your technician at It's Beauty Salon will look at the condition of your nails, your schedule, and what you're actually after — and take it from there.
Gel Manicure
A gel manicure is one of the most requested services at our Abu Dhabi nail salon — and the reasons aren't hard to see. Gel polish is cured under UV or LED light, which locks in the color and gives you a chip-resistant finish that holds for up to three weeks. That's noticeably longer than regular polish, with a cleaner surface to show for it.
It's a strong choice for clients who want refined nails without the commitment of extensions, and when applied consistently, it also provides a layer of protection for the natural nail underneath. We use Luxio and MAL for their long-wearing formulas, and offer a broad color range through Kinetics.
Gel Extensions
Gel nail extensions are for clients who want length without the weight of hard artificial tips. Soft or hard gels are shaped directly over the natural nail bed, then cured under UV light. The result: longer nails that don't feel like a construction project on your hands.
This service works well for clients who want to build length gradually, or who need structural support for nails prone to breaking. The outcome is lightweight, natural-looking length with a clean glossy finish.
Application Process
Here's what to expect when you book a gel manicure or gel extensions at It's Beauty Salon:
Your nail technician cleans and shapes your nails. Cuticle work is done with precision — the Russian technique is available on request. The nail surface is gently buffed and prepped, including priming. A bonding primer is applied to improve adhesion, extending the wear of your extensions and keeping the nail protected. Gel polish or gel extensions are applied in layers and cured under a UV/LED lamp. A final top coat and cuticle oil complete the session.
The full service takes between 1 hour 30 minutes and 1 hour 45 minutes. You leave with clean, finished nails built to last.
Acrylic Mixture
Acrylic nails are formed from a blend of acrylic powder and liquid monomer. Combined, they produce a malleable paste that's shaped onto the nail surface and left to air dry — no curing lamp required. The material sets quickly into a strong, durable finish, making acrylics the go-to for clients after bold shapes or serious length that holds for weeks.
Base Coat
Gel or acrylic, every solid manicure starts with the base. A thin layer goes on first to protect the nail bed and lock in adhesion — this is what keeps the material from lifting prematurely. For brittle or previously damaged nails, skipping this step isn't an option.
Artificial Nails
Artificial nails give you the flexibility to adjust your length, shape, or design at any appointment. Short and understated, or long and deliberate — both gel and acrylic options accommodate the full range of nail enhancement. Our technicians ensure every set feels comfortable to wear and looks proportional to your hands.
Difference Between Gel and Acrylic Nails
The gel vs. acrylic question doesn't have a universal answer — it depends entirely on what you need.
Gel nails are applied in layers, cured under UV or LED light, and sit lightly on the nail with a flexible, glossy finish. Acrylic nails are denser, air-dried, and built for clients who want strong structure and dramatic length.
They differ in application, removal, and what they look like on the hand. For a more natural-looking, glossy finish, soft or hard gel extensions are the right call. For bold shapes and maximum hold, acrylic is the better fit.

Classic polish is also available — over 100 shades from Kinetics for clean, simple nails.
Acrylic Fills & Maintenance
During acrylic nail extensions, your natural nail bed remains untouched beneath the material — which means acrylics grow along with your own nails. A fill every two to three weeks keeps the structure sound and the look fresh. At It's Beauty Salon, a fill appointment is a full reset: your technician rebalances the nail arch for the current length, reshapes the edge, refreshes the color, adds nail art or custom detail if desired, and delivers a clean finish. The result looks like a new set.
If the previous application is in good condition and no nails are broken, a fill is all that's needed. That said, our technicians check each nail thoroughly for lifting or cracks — and if anything warrants attention, they'll let you know before proceeding.
Two habits keep acrylic nails in their best condition between appointments: wearing gloves when handling strong chemicals, and applying cuticle oil daily. Household chemicals — detergents, bleach, cleaning sprays — are the most commonly cited risks, but pool chemicals, chemical peels, acid-based skincare, and abrasive scrubs can also affect the finish. Cuticle oil keeps the skin around the nail bed hydrated and the overall look polished for longer.
How to Remove Acrylic Nails Safely
Removing acrylics at home is something we strongly advise against. Peeling, ripping, or filing the material off puts direct stress on the nail plate — the kind that leads to thinning, weakening, or temporary deformation that can take weeks to recover from.
At It's Beauty Salon, professional acrylic removal is available as a standalone appointment or as part of your next service — and it's open to clients regardless of where their previous set was done. We use the acetone soak-off method: nails are wrapped in acetone-soaked cotton pads until the acrylic softens and separates naturally, then a cuticle stick gently guides it off. No force involved. It takes a little longer than filing, but the nail plate is left intact throughout.
Nail Shapes at It's Beauty Salon
Nail shape changes the character of your hands — visually elongating fingers, adding elegance, or simply fitting the way you live. Some shapes suit certain hand proportions better than others, and practical comfort matters just as much as aesthetics. Our nail technicians at both Abu Dhabi locations will help you find the shape and length that work for you. The shapes we work with:
- Almond — tapered sides with a soft rounded tip. Feminine and flattering across most hand types, equally suited to understated looks and statement designs.
- Coffin — long, flat tip with tapered sides. A bold shape that reads as a style statement on its own; particularly striking on slender fingers.
- Stiletto — sharp and dramatic, with significant length. Makes an impact, though it's less practical for keyboard-heavy lifestyles.
- Square — flat top, straight edges. Clean and practical — one of the most everyday-wearable shapes we offer.
- Oval — a softened square with rounded edges. Close to natural nail growth, and easy to maintain across different lengths.
Extensions are available in three lengths — short, medium, and long — with the exact length adjusted to your preference. If you arrive without a shape in mind, our nail experts will guide you.
